Been a while since we've updated. Both the dotdating staff and I have been a bit distracted by job stuff of late.
Here is an article about fraudsters who are starting to pop up on internet dating sites in the United States (it also appeared here).
Naturally our first instinct here is to warn all you internet daters out there to stay vigilant. We believe that online dating is quite safe and secure, but like everywhere else in the world, there are a few rotten apples who see it as a source of easy scams.
In a sense this is testimony to the success of online dating. Scammers only go where they think they can make money. Obviously they have seen how many people are using these sites too.
